UNNECESSARY ACTION HERO
THE REACH IN
Part of Bean’s success in directing dialogue with talent is his technique in drawing out the real emotion that makes you forget you are watching an ad. With his calm demeanor and vibrant humor, he has worked with major athletic figures like Eli and Peyton Manning and Dale Earnhardt Jr.
Growing up in Connecticut, Christopher was surrounded by art through his father, filmmaker and painter Bob Bean. After graduating from the University of Colorado, Chris moved back east to begin an apprenticeship in film production in New York. He then focused on cinematography and worked through the camera department to become a director of photography.
Chris is also an avid windsurfer who also plays ice hockey twice a week and enjoys painting animal portraits. When he is not directing, Bean lives with his wife and three kids in Rowayton, Connecticut.
